Because of an interest expressed by dedicated chess players, the Dubois County Museum is creating a new weekly program called "Chess Night on Mondays". Area resident Bob Marshall will oversee the program and welcomes chess players of all levels, from ages middle school to adult, men and women, to come to the museum on Monday evenings from 5:30-8 p.m. to enjoy a game of chess with other interested chess players. There is no registration required. Players are invited to stop in the Room Three area of the museum throughout the evening. The museum is asking participants to pay $2 per person each evening they attend. Participants may also choose to purchase a yearly membership to the museum to gain free admission to the museum for chess night, and its many programs. Players are welcome to bring their own chess sets. There will be chess sets on hand if you do not own a set. If a Monday is a national observance of a holiday, the Night will not be held that week. If you have any questions or concerns you may email Bob Marshall at [email protected].
